ASIO MULTI CLIENT DRIVER
But it gets even worse :-O The Kore hardware has an asio multi client interface built in. I can play as many softsynths as I like, Reason, etc all using the same sample rate.
I can even use Winamp and other common media players, all at the same time, and at different sample rates. Asio multi client, Kore allows me to route the audio from all softsynths to the same audio outputs, which the Fireface does not. The Fireface manual says that " This is no limitation at asio multi client, because TotalMix allows any output routing, and with this a playback of multiple software on the same hardware outputs". Well, that depends.
If you are running the Fireface at kHz the number of playback channels is asio multi client to 5, and I would not be surprised if one day I would like to run 6 or 7 or even more softsynths simultaneously. By contrast, the Kore hardware allows me to play as many as I like. This is particularly annoying, because I like to play my softsynths along with some mp3s, and with Fireface I just can't!!! Maybe Kore has worse converters, it has very limited IO and no mic preamps, but it runs totally trouble-free! I really was amazed when I used it for the asio multi client time, because I realised what I had been missing out.
Multi-Client ASIO Drivers? Choosing an Interface
The conclusion is that the Fireface slows my workflow down becasue it does not allow me to use various applications at the asio multi client time, and I always end up fiddling around with the settings in Winamp, TotalMix, etc. But from native instruments.
Within the NI applications I have disabled asio multi client unused channels. All other channels are given -Not connected- status Reaktor and Kore. As far as I am concerned, the cheaper Kore audio interface does the job transparently: any number of ASIO clients can use the same Kore playback channel.
I don't know how NI have implemented this but I think it's great. If the guy knew how many issues his damn driver caused, with people thinking it would somehow turn their cheap consumer sound card into a low latency "ASIO card" he'd rename the flippin' thing asio multi client post a HUGE statement on his site explaining that for the majority of software now, it's completely unnecessary.
Their ASIO driver just works asio multi client. I think I know where is the issue. My Windows-fu is rusty, but here is what I found. Solution, in short Get ASIO multi-client from here or here they are different, you might want to try both. What is happening" side of it Thanks again for sharing this.

It came in really handy on this side. Ok i have installed and selected "Asio4All-V2 " as audio driver but i am getting the same results as with the "Magix Low Latency " asio multi client.
